Answers for families, donors & community partners
Who does your organization support?
We support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities throughout Northeast Ohio. Our services are designed to meet a wide range of needs, from full-time residential care to help with managing daily finances or accessing the community. We serve individuals who live in our homes, with family members, or independently. Every program is built around personal goals and meaningful outcomes.
Where do you provide services?
We operate in eight counties: Stark, Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Portage, Summit, Tuscarawas & Wayne. Our main offices are based in Canton and Austintown, and we have program sites and homes across the region. Many of our services—like transportation and financial management—support individuals wherever they are. We are proud to be a trusted part of communities across Northeast Ohio.
How are your programs funded?
Many of our services are funded through Medicaid waivers and other state-supported programs like Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities. We also rely on generous donations to support special projects, community outings, and program enhancements. Donor contributions make a big difference in the lives of those we serve. If you’re considering a gift, we offer several ways to give.
What’s the difference between your day programs and Siffrin Academy?
Our day programs in Mahoning and Stark Counties focus on community integration, activities, and volunteer opportunities for adults with disabilities. Siffrin Academy is a specialized transitional program for young adults, located on the Kent State Stark campus. It combines classroom learning with real-world experience to help participants prepare for independence and employment. Both programs are structured to promote engagement and skill-building.
How can I get involved or support your mission?
You can support us by donating, volunteering, or attending a local event. Donations help fund everything from basic supplies to transportation and client outings. If you’re interested in volunteering or learning about upcoming fundraisers, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can continue building inclusive communities across Northeast Ohio.
